FAQ

What is the C001-0000?

It is the AAD Performance billet rear trailing and tension arm family for LX and LC platform Mopar models, sold as a pair.

What does the Spheriflex bearing do?

It is a spherical bearing sprung between two Teflon impregnated Delrin races, so deflection is removed without the noise a solid bushing creates.

Can the bearing be rebuilt?

Yes. The bearing assembly is designed to be serviced rather than replaced as a complete arm.

Will these help with wheel hop?

They control rear lower arm deflection, which is one of the contributors to wheel hop under hard launches.

What material are the arms?

They are machined from 6061-T651 billet aluminum.

Are these stronger than the factory arms?

The retailer states they are more than twice as strong as the factory parts.

Which finishes are stocked here?

Red and Black anodized arms, both with Spheriflex bearings.

Do they add noise to the car?

The manufacturer states the design reduces compliance without increasing noise, vibration or harshness.

Are hardware and instructions needed from the vehicle?

The factory fasteners locate the arm, and the manufacturer publishes a trailing arm instruction sheet for torque values.

What warranty applies?

AADPerformance Limited One Year Warranty. Defect coverage runs one year from the date of original purchase and applies to the original purchaser only. Installed parts cannot be returned, and unused non-warranty returns are subject to a 15 percent restocking fee.

Installation Instructions

  1. Raise and safely support the rear of the vehicle and remove the rear wheels.
  2. Unload the rear suspension so the trailing arm hardware is not under load.
  3. Remove the factory rear lower trailing arm fasteners and withdraw the arm.
  4. Compare the new arm to the factory arm to confirm orientation.
  5. Install the arm at the cradle and at the knuckle, leaving fasteners loose.
  6. Bring the suspension to ride height.
  7. Torque all fasteners to factory specification.
  8. Repeat on the opposite side and check rear alignment.
  9. Refer to the manufacturer LXLC trailing arm instruction sheet for torque values.
