FAQ

What is the 200-639?

It is an application-specific Airaid PowerAid aluminum throttle-body spacer supplied with its listed installation hardware. It is not a replacement throttle body or a complete intake system.

Which vehicles does this spacer fit?

6.2L V8 applications listed in the sheet: 20142026 Silverado 1500/Sierra 1500 and Yukon/Yukon XL/Denali; 20152026 Cadillac Escalade/ESV; 20182026 Tahoe; 20192026 Suburban.

Does the engine version matter?

Yes. The engine, throttle-body arrangement, model year and any exclusions in the application table must all match. A shared vehicle name or displacement alone does not establish compatibility.

What comes in the kit?

One spacer plate and the hardware identified in the manufacturer parts list. A throttle body, air filter and complete intake are not included.

Can it be combined with another intake?

Do not assume compatibility with an aftermarket intake. Check tube length, throttle-body position, linkage or sensor clearance and the complete assembly before installation.

Is a specific horsepower or fuel-economy gain guaranteed?

No. No fixed power, torque or mileage improvement is promised. Results depend on the vehicle and the complete intake and engine configuration.

Is it street legal for my vehicle?

The manufacturer installation sheet prohibits sale or use on pollution-controlled vehicles in California and states adopting California emission procedures. Confirm the current exact-application CARB status before ordering.

Where are the installation details?

Use the linked Airaid installation sheet for the exact plate orientation, hardware selection, seals and assembly procedure. Use vehicle-specific tightening specifications; do not substitute an assumed torque value.

Installation Instructions

  1. Read the complete manufacturer instructions for 200-639 and verify the application, exclusions and parts inventory before work begins.
  2. With the engine cool and ignition off, disconnect the negative battery cable as instructed and remove the intake components needed for throttle-body access.
  3. Follow the illustrated spacer orientation and seal arrangement. Use only the specified mounting hardware and verify clearance before tightening.
  4. Tighten evenly using the manufacturer and vehicle service specifications. Avoid over-tightening or forcing bolts into the intake manifold.
  5. Reinstall the intake, sensors and breather connections, reconnect the battery, and inspect the completed assembly for leaks, interference and correct operation.

Read the manufacturer installation instructions.
