shipping ask about this product

Baer Claw performance rotors are a direct replacement upgrade for the factory rotors. Each pair is cross drilled and slotted so the gas and dust that build up between pad and rotor have an escape route, which keeps pedal feel consistent and reduces brake fade, and each rotor is zinc plated for a clean look behind open centre wheels. This listing is Baer part number 99207-020 for Ford Expedition.

Key Features

  • Baer Claw performance rotors are a great way to improve your vehicles braking performance and overall appearance.
  • Each pair of rotors are zinc-plated providing a brilliant finish behind open center wheels.

About Baer Brakes

Baer Brakes has engineered and built high performance brake systems in Phoenix, Arizona since 1994. The company designs its own calipers, casts its own rotors and assembles complete systems in house, which is why Baer hardware is a common choice for muscle cars, trucks and modern performance vehicles that need more brake than the factory supplied.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need new pads with these rotors?
New pads are strongly recommended. Bedding fresh pads to fresh rotors gives the most even transfer layer, and used pads carry the wear pattern of the old rotor.

Do drilled and slotted rotors crack?
Baer casts and machines these rotors for street and performance street use, and the drilling is chamfered to control stress at the hole edges. Sustained competition use is better served by a slot only rotor, which Baer supplies separately.

Will these fit behind my factory wheels?
Yes. Claw rotors are the same diameter as the factory rotor for the listed application, so wheel clearance does not change.

Is this sold as one rotor or a pair?
Part number 99207-020 is a pair of rotors for one axle. If you are refreshing both ends of the car you need the matching front and rear part numbers.

Installation Instructions

  1. Park the vehicle on level ground, chock the wheels that stay on the ground and loosen the lug nuts on the axle you are working on before lifting.
  2. Raise the vehicle with a jack, support it on rated jack stands and remove the road wheels.
  3. Unbolt the brake caliper from its bracket, support the caliper so the hose is not loaded, and hang it out of the way.
  4. Remove the caliper bracket where required, then pull the factory rotor off the hub. Retaining clips or screws must come out first on some applications.
  5. Clean the hub face completely so the new rotor sits flat. Any rust or debris left behind will show up as runout and pedal pulsation.
  6. Wash the preservative coating off the new rotor friction surfaces with brake cleaner and fit the rotor to the hub.
  7. Reinstall the caliper bracket and caliper with the correct fasteners, torquing everything to the vehicle service manual figures.
  8. Fit new or clean pads, refit the wheels and torque the lug nuts to specification in a star pattern.
  9. Pump the brake pedal until it is firm before moving the vehicle, then bed the pads and rotors in with a series of moderate stops from moderate speed, avoiding a full stop while hot.
