This Air Lift load-support system is the 1000 Universal Air Spring Kit. It supplements the factory suspension to help level the vehicle under an approved load; it does not increase the vehicle manufacturer’s payload or towing rating. Confirm drivetrain, body configuration, hitch and frame clearance, factory suspension, kit capacity, minimum pressure, and every listed exclusion.

Key Features

  • These new kits provide your vehicle with up to 1000 lbs. of load-leveling support, making your ride smooth and comfortable.
  • First, unload your vehicle and allow it to return to normal ride height.
  • Then, measure the available inside height and available inside diameter of the vehicle’s coil springs, finding the available height and width inside the springs.
  • This includes two Air Lift 1000 air springs, made from durable, molded polyurethane, and two heat shields, with clamps.
  • With the ability to fit almost any open coil spring, the new Air Lift 1000 Universal kits from Air Lift are our most versatile ever.
  • Air Lift 100 Universal springs air to improve all aspects of your ride, eliminating squat, fixing poor headlight aim, and soaks up bumps, eliminating any sort of rough ride.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will Air Lift 60902, the 1000 Universal Air Spring Kit, fit my the intended vehicle or system?
Match year, make, model, drivetrain, bed or wheelbase, hitch hardware, factory suspension, frame brackets, and every application note for this exact kit.

Do Air Lift helper springs increase towing or payload capacity?
No. They help level and support the existing suspension, but the vehicle manufacturer’s GVWR, GAWR, payload, hitch, tire, and towing limits remain unchanged.

Do I need an onboard compressor for this kit?
Manual inflation works for occasional load changes. An onboard compressor is useful for frequent towing or varying loads, but it must match the kit’s pressure and control requirements.

How much air pressure should I use?
Stay within the exact kit’s published minimum and maximum. Add only enough pressure to level the loaded vehicle while keeping axle, tire, payload, and towing limits unchanged.

Installation Instructions

  1. Confirm Air Lift part number 60902, the complete application, and every required supporting component before disassembly.
  2. Secure the vehicle at the manufacturer’s specified lift points, unload the suspension as directed, and inspect the frame, brackets, springs, lines, and nearby components.
  3. Follow Air Lift’s current instructions for bracket orientation, clearances, routing, fastener sequence, pressure limits, and any drilling or trimming.
  4. Inflate and leak-test the system, cycle the suspension and steering as applicable, and verify clearance from tires, exhaust, brakes, driveline, wiring, and bodywork.
  5. Torque and align as required, then recheck leaks, pressure, fasteners, and clearance after the first loaded drive cycles.
